About Me

My photo
Ayah Papaya
I'm a 25 year old teacher/jeweler residing in New Jersey. I knit, write, cross stitch, and devour Twilight. Some of my other interests involve historical photography (from Civil War Era through the 1920's), and historical re-enactment. I've been an avid tight-lacer for many years. My husband balks at my corset obsession (lol), though he appreciates my obsession with 'Tough Love'. *wink wink * My biggest dream (other than owning a piece of Tiffany jewelry) is to take my Yankee husband down South. I was born and raised down in Southeast Louisiana (504 girls represent!), and was a modern "Mail Order Bride" (Spectacular fanfic!). I met my Husband on an online forum, and after exchanging many letters (both online, and by post), we exchanged references. We were married shortly thereafter. I was barely 18! I'm a very lucky woman. Together we have a four year old son, three rabbits, and one cat. We purchased a house (back in November of 2009), and have left the "Bright Lights, Big City" for a simpler life. That's what you'll find in this blog: crafting, healing, mothering, finding faith, and learning to love, after all hope has gone.
